Урок по теме «Защита окружающей среды»

Современный урок английского языка согласно ФГОС требует формирования не только

предметных, но и метапредметных и личностных результатов обучающихся. Одной из

важнейших задач ФГОС ООО является формирование основ экологической культуры,

соответствующей

современному

уровню

экологического

мышления,

развитие

опыта

экологически ориентированной рефлексивно-оценочной и практической деятельности в

жизненных ситуациях.

Данный урок разработан к учебнику 8 класса «Звездный английский» (авторы К.М.

Баранова, Д. Дули, В.В. Копылова и др.) Направлен на актуализацию знаний и умений по

теме: «Загрязнение окружающей среды, бережное отношение к окружающей среде». На

уроке учащимся представляется возможность обсудить причины и следствия загрязнения

окружающей среды, выработать правила бережного отношения к природе.

today?

Students: Good morning. We are fine, thank you.

Teacher: Now I’d like you to watch a video and try to guess what we are

going to talk about today.

Students: Environmental problems.

Teacher: That’s right. It is not a secret that our planet is in danger. And we

must do a lot to help nature survive.

Teacher: So, what are the ecological problems? Let’s revise the words. Look

at the cards you have. Match the words with their definitions.

4. Аудирование

Now let’s listen to some texts about ecological problems. (Приложение 2)

You’ll hear six texts. Your task is to find the correct answer to each

statement. One statement is extra. You’ll hear the texts twice. Be very

careful. Are you ready? (The students listen to the texts twice, fill in the

table, then change the cards with each other and check the answers).

So, let’s check your partner’s work and mark the correct variants. Put one

point for each correct answer. What are the results? (The students get the

marks for their work). Thank you for your job.

We can’t deny that there are a lot of ecological problems in our world. But

people do a lot to protect the environment. Let’s read the text about one of

the ways to save nature and its resources. (Приложение 3)

why we should protect it.

At home you’ll work on the ecological problem you think the most serious

in our region and for the next lesson you should make a report and a

presentation to illustrate your ideas according to the plan:

2. Find out what it is caused by.

3. Its influence on the environment and people.

4. Ways to improve the situation.

Earth Hour is an event that encourages people around the world to switch off electricity at the

same time for one hour. Of course, switching off the lights for an hour makes a small difference

to the amount of energy we use. But the aim of the event is not to save energy but to get people

to think about the planet they live on. Earth Hour started in Australia in 2007. More and more

countries join the ecological movement every year. Now, millions of people from 178 countries

switch off their lights for 60 minutes at the end of March. People in Russia participate in this

event too – large office buildings and small private houses go dark for Earth Hour.
