Цель

Образовательные задачи:

Повторить названия средств массовой информации, видов информации,

которую они передают

Расширить лексический запас учащихся по теме «СМИ» (газеты и

газетные заголовки, эмоции)

Закрепить навыки употребления прошедшего простого и простого

длительного времен.

Развивать навыки устной речи.

Развивающие задачи:

Развивать механизм языковой догадки и умение переноса знаний и

навыков в новую ситуацию.

Воспитательные задачи:

Воспитать у учащихся эстетический вкус, интерес к различным видам

средств массовой информации.

Воспитать положительное отношение к иностранному языку.

Формы работы: коллективная, парная, индивидуальная.

Методы: презентативный, частично-поисковый, иллюстративный.

Оборудование: проектор, компьютер, аудио сопровождение, рабочие листы,

карточки визуальной опоры, раздаточный материал

Ход урока:

1. Организационный момент.

1) Good morning, my dear! How are you? I’m fine, thank you. There are

some guests here. Good morning dear guests. Welcome to our lesson. I hope you’ll

enjoy our work.

As usual we start our lesson with some questions. Who is on duty today?

What date is it today? What day is it today? Who is absent today?

2) There are a lot of English proverbs about news. Look at the cards and read out

the proverbs.

“Ill news goes fast”

“No news is good news”

“Bad news travels quickly”

“Bad news has wings”

Pay attention to the fact that “news” is singular.

Which of these proverbs have the same meaning?

Read them out and give the Russian equivalent for them.

II. Following-up

1)Introducing problem questions. Revision of the vocabulary

So news means new information and reports of recent events. Where can we find

news? (We can find it in the media.)

What types of media are there? ( Television, radio, newspapers and magazines, the

Internet.)

What does each type of media provide us with? At home you had to learn some

new words by heart.

As for me I like fashion and beauty advice in magazines. And what about you?

2)Speaking and Reading. Feelings and emotions

Let’s move on to the next stage.

So news and media on the whole play an important role in our life because they

make us experience different feelings and emotions. They can be positive and

negative. On the cards you can see different emotions. Write them into correct

column! Work in pairs!

read these headlines and translate them into Russian. Pay attention to Present

4. Grammar (past simple / past continuous)

a) Before we do an interesting exercise let’s repeat the rules (ex.5 a, p.39).

b) In pairs, read the story. Then choose the correct forms of the verbs, past simple

or past progressive (приложение 3).

Earthquake

James did (m)/was doing(c) his homework in his bedroom when the earthquake
