«ASKING THE WAY»

Цели урока:
Формировать умения чтения и говорения на основе прочитанного текста
Метапредметные цели:
Личностные: - воспитать умение общаться с однокурсниками - уважать мнение однокурсников Коммуникативные: - умение анализировать услышанное - умение обобщать услышанное - осознанно строить речевое высказывание в устной форме - выделять основную информацию из аудио-текстов Познавательные: - учатся ориентироваться в тексте - расширение кругозора учащихся Оборудование: компьютер, интерактивная доска, аудиозапись
I. Сообщение темы урока.
Today we are going to read and talk as if we are in the unknown city or town and we have some questions to its dwellers.
II. Тренировка в чтении необходимых предлогов, которые могут

потребоваться в незнакомом городе.
На экран выведены выражения пункта 1,2 и 3. Студенты читают вслух выражения, среди которых встречаются и новые слова.
III. Чтение диалогов с последующим переводом.

IV. Тренировка навыков устной речи на основе прочитанного материала.

Составление своих диалогов со схожей ситуацией.

V. Итоги занятия.
Педагог подводит итоги урока и оценивает работу студентов на занятии.

1. Стационарные предлоги положения в пространстве
To be opposite – быть напротив To be next to – быть рядом To be near – быть недалеко (от чего-либо) To be behind – быть позади To be between – быть между To be in front of – быть перед To be on the corner – на углу
2. Предлоги движения
To walk (go, come) out of – выйти из To walk (go, come) past – пройти мимо To walk (go, come) through (the gate, park) – пройти через To walk (go, come) along (the road, path) - пройти вдоль/ по To walk (go, come) up (the road) – пройти вверх To walk (go, come) down (the road) – пройти вниз To walk (go, come) over (the bridge) – пройти по мосту To walk (go, come) under (the bridge) – пройти под мостом To walk (go, come) across the road = to cross the road - пересечь дорогу To walk (go, come) to – подойти к To walk (go, come) into – войти в To walk (go, come) until you get to the cinema – идти, пока не дойдёте до кинотеатра To turn left (right) – повернуть налево/ направо To take а bus number 5 = to take a number 5 bus - сесть на 5 автобус To get off at the station – выйти на станции To go to the end of the road – идти до конца дороги To go to the third traffic lights – идти до 3-го светофора To walk a bit – пройти чуть-чуть To take the first turning to the left – свернуть на первом повороте налево To go straight ahead – идти прямо вперед To take this road to the city – по этой дороге ехать до города To go for 3 blocks – пройти 3 квартала To take a ferry – cесть на паром You can’t miss it – вы это не пропустите To ask(to tell) the way to the city – спросить (сказать) дорогу до города The 15-th tram will take as far as the cinema – 15-ый трамвай довезет как раз до кинотеатра To change to the underground (metro/tube)– пересесть на метро To change line 1 to the line 3 – пересесть с 1-ой ветки на 3-ью

Can (could, will) you tell (show) me the (shortest) way to the railway station? - Вы можете (не могли бы) сказать (показать) мне (кратчайший) путь к железнодорожной станции How can (do) I get to Palace Square? - Как мне попасть (добраться) на Дворцовую площадь? Is there a bus from here to Trafalgar square? – Отсюда идёт автобус до Трафальгарской площади? Well, let me see… - м-м, дайте подумать…. A.Excuse me! B.Yes? A.Can you tell me the way to the nearest post-office? B.Well, let me see… Take trolley-bus number 2 and get off at the third stop. Turn to the left and walk straight on. At the end of the block you will see the post-office on your right. A.Oh, then I think, it is near the cinema, isn’t it? B.That’s right. The cinema is just across the street from the post-office. A. Thank you very much. B.No thanks at all.

A.I say! B.Yes, what is it? A. How far is Piccadilly Circus from here? B. I think it’s something like a mile. You can walk to it if you are not in a hurry. A. Yes, I think I’d better walk. You see, it is my first visit to London, so I shall see the town. B. Then you can go and see the Trafalgar Square with the Nelson Column. It is worth seeing. A. Oh, yes I know. It has a world-wide fame. How do I get there? B. It’s not far. Just walk straight on and take the first turning to the left. A.Thank you very much. You are very kind.
B.Oh, no thanks at all.

A.Excuse me, sir! B.Yes, my attention! A.How can I get to the Winter Palace? B.Oh, it’s quite near. It won’t take you more than five minutes. A.You see, it’s my first visit to St. Petersburg. This is Nevskiy Prospect, isn’t it? B.That’s right. Walk straight on and take the first turning to the right. You will be in a short street with a big arch at the end. A.Oh, I remember seeing that arch on a postcard. B.Walk along the street and under the arch. You will find yourself in Palace Square. A.You know, I am so glad to be in St. Petersburg. I’ve read about Palace Square and seen pictures of it, with the Alexander Column. It will be so nice to see it in reality. B.You are right. Well, if you stand with your back to the arch, you will see a beautiful green palace with white columns across the square in front of you. It is the Winter Palace. A.Thanks a lot. B.The pleasure is mine.
